Meme and I Don’t Mean Me

Generally speaking, I love meme’s since they give me fun things to blog about and allow me to share the love with my fellow bloggers. However, since I have the memory God gave a peanut, I often forget when I have been tagged, or worse, write myself a note to remember and then delete the note. So if any of you have tagged me recently, I apologize for not meme’ing back and promise to do so as soon as I’m nudged a time or twelve.

A few weeks ago, Oh2122 tagged me for a fun meme. I wasn’t able to hold up my end of the meme bargain at the time due to my impending trip to Cyprus but am here now to dish out some weird and wonderful thoughts about yours truly.

First the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and list all these rules in your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by including links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. My first fact is that I won’t be tagging anyone in particular today since I know that everyone is far too busy with holiday preparations to participate properly. If you’re reading this consider yourself tagged.

2. As I thought about today’s post, I realized that I want to find the patient zero of meme’s. One of these days I’m going to start following the trail of a random meme or award to find out who originated it.

3. Some women wear sexy négligés to bed. My favourite nightie is one I’ve had for almost twenty years. The comfy white cotton is practically see-through after all these years but I believe it once had Tweety Bird on it.

4. I haven’t cooked anything in my oven since moving to Egypt because it requires a match to light the burner. I halved my cooking repertoire simply because I’m scared of blowing up my building.

5. I love playing Scrabble on Facebook but not in real life due to my complete and utter inability to spell.

6. Since the rules state I should share something completely random, I thought that this might fit the bill.: Although I deny being a packrat, I still have my wedding dress, my high school uniform, and even my first training bra!

7. Hubby left on a business trip today and I miss him. Stupid consulting job! *pout*

Thank goodness for microwaves, eh?

I don't wear anything to bed - except my mouth guard that stops me from wearing down my teeth because I grind them so much!

I was tagged with a similar meme a while ago, but I haven't found the time to blog it.

This was a cool read; I so identify with the #4. I used to have gas cooker and I hate gas.;)
I also totally get the #7.;) But he will be back soon.;))

I'm with you on the stove burner! No way I'd do that!

It would be interesting to follow a meme trail!

When I was in Japan I used a tiny, counter top gas oven. It was the kind that released the gas, and then you had to ignite it...I was always scared I'd leave the gas on too long and the thing would catch and go kaplooey! (I also managed to catch a casserole on fire in that thing...that requires talent!)

i love scrabble, but rarely win.

i know what your hubby should buy you for christmas. the see through tweety bird nightie sounds like it needs a new home. i wear flannel - even in 90 degree weather. maybe we should swap.

I can't cook today because the tank of gas ran out. Even though I know how to change it, I don't want to. I think men should do that!

Sorry you are alone! More blog time!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog today on BATW! I'm curious now - how come you have an Irish passport?

I white cotton thingy that's almost see through is almost as good as a neglige ;)

I don't mind lighting the oven anymore with a burner, but I'm not baking bread or cake, because I just gonna burn the bottom of it :(

I only kept my wedding dress. because hubby wanted me to. It was a used one, but fit me perfect, including the shoes :)
But besides that I AM A PACKRAT ;)

Uh, sorry for hubby being on a trip and gone :(!!!

I am actually working on an entire blog post about #3 :-)

And #4 - I think that would hinder my cooking, too. I don't do matches. Or fire. Of any kind.

I'd love to know the origin of some memes. Let me know if you ever find patient zero. My daughter tried to start her own meme on her blog this week...but no one is participating in it at the moment...

The best holiday gift I could get would be someone who would play scrabble with me on facebook! if it doesn't creep you out- we should become friends and play. if it does seem strange-- I understand!

So not late! There was no timestamp on the meme. At least I hope not. It took me a week to do mine!

#4 is a hoot to me. I had a gas stove growing up, but have an electric one now. The whole coil under glass thing weirds me out. Plus the coil inside actually burst this summer. Arcing electricity and all!

You have to light a match to start your oven? Oh I would go crazy if I couldn't cook!!

I don't wear anything to bed but underwear.
