Here are a few photos of the weird and wacky things we saw in Europe during late June and early July of 2009.
In Vienna this guy was busy trying to feed his little robot family.
I knew that Ontario’s Highway 11 was the longest street in the world but I didn’t know it went all the way to Hungary!
Krakow: Can you imagine trying to buy a hat for this guy?
When I rule the world the guy who invented pirogues will be honored like a king!
Is it just me or does this “Man at Work” in Bratislava seem to be taking an awfully long break?

I'm feeling a little sorry for myself that I don't know what a pirogue is.
Krakow - interesting "side" to that sculpture.
Pirogue's - sort of like stuffed ravioli only with potatoes or other veggies? I think. They're good.
That's what I love about Europe...there's art everywhere!
I just love the last photo of the man at work.
Great shots - especially that last one! So amusing and unexpected.
Love the "man at work"! Especially because the sign is in English!
Should I knit a hat for the KraKow man?

Like your comment on that last one!
Yep, my favorite is the last piece as well; very, very creative.
That giant head is...'interesting'.
I would be the bumbling idiot to trip over the man at work LOL
I have loved your entire tour of Europe. I must admit to being many shades of green...but I am just trying to live vicariously. And now I have a craving for pirogues...
These are grat pics.
The giant head is impressive!
hugs hugs
That sideways head is interesting. I love pirogies too, my mom hates them. Love that last picture!
The last one is hilarious!
hey! thanks for stopping by my blog today. your blog is fabulous! those pictures are amazing :)
Geez, the whole country is like one huge art museum!
One of my students hails from Poland. Her Mom makes pirogues for the class, sometimes. But the thing that's even better than the pirogues is the way my student pronounces the word pirogues. Nothing in this world, I'm telling ya...
Fun pictures! I'm totally craving pirogues now! I used to know a couple from Kiev that introduced me to them and they are awesome!
Your pics make me miss the short time I spent in France. Must get back to Europe!
I want your life.
I love your photos so much. That head sculpture is amazing.
I have seen mimes of that type is so many places, and I never get tired of watching them!
And a friend's late grandmother made the best pirogues in the world right here in little Rhode Island.
Great wrap up post!
